THE GC INDEX®

Balance

Offering a new perspective

The GC Index® stands apart from other profiling tools by focusing not on personality traits or behavioural styles, but on how individuals naturally add value and contribute to a team or organisation.

While many tools categorise people based on characteristics like introversion or extroversion, the GC Index® emphasises energy and impact through five distinct proclivities: Game Changer, Strategist, Implementer, Polisher, and Play Maker.

This approach is non-hierarchical and avoids labeling individuals as “good” or “bad” at particular roles, instead recognising that everyone has a unique and essential way of contributing.

The GC Index® is also dynamic, offering insights into how proclivities interact within teams and adapt across different contexts, making it particularly effective for optimising team performance and driving outcomes in real-world scenarios. This pragmatic focus on contribution over personality makes it a powerful tool for empowering individuals and fostering high-performing, collaborative teams.

We discover your energy in 5 proclivities:

  • Game Changer

  • Strategist

  • Implementer

  • Polisher

  • PlayMaker

The GC Index® reveals over 100,000 possible permutations of proclivity scores, highlighting the incredible diversity of individual contributions and strengths.

This variety underscores that no single combination or score is inherently better or worse than another. Whether a person scores high or low in any particular proclivity, it simply reflects their natural approach to adding value, not their overall effectiveness or potential.

Each proclivity plays a vital role in different contexts, and success often depends on understanding how these unique strengths can complement others within a team. A low score in one area might mean that an individual thrives in a different type of contribution, while a high score can indicate a natural affinity but not necessarily greater impact without the right context.

The GC Index® emphasises the importance of valuing all contributions and recognising that success stems from collaboration across diverse styles.

The Process

Whether you are joining us as an individual or as part of a group, everyone is invited to discover their unique profile. This is via a personal link sent by email which allows you to answer a set of online questions. This takes approximately 10 minutes to complete and there are no right or wrong answers.

Once you have completed the questions, we will contact you to arrange an online review session. This will be before you join Project Impact in London. In this session which lasts for 45 – 60 minutes, you will discover your profile and have the opportunity to discuss it and reflect on the findings.

You will now have lifetime access to the GC Index® platform with its resources and the ability to view and download your personalised 28-page profile report.

If you are joining us as part of a group, we will also have a 2-hour workshop looking at the individual profiles as part of a team. More details can be found here.

They are driven by a desire to add value and create work that stands out for its quality and detail. Polishers bring a critical eye and a relentless focus on perfection, often identifying opportunities for enhancement that others might overlook. Their strength lies in their dedication to making the good great, ensuring that projects reach their full potential and leave a lasting impression.
